Matthew 3: 1-2:
"In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, Repent ye for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
John 18: 36
"Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence."
Synonyms
Dominion, territory, empire, country, dynasty.
John the Baptist preached, saying, Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Of course he was referring to Jesus because a few verses later he said, "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.
Jesus himself said that his kingdom was not of this world. Wow! And the most wonderful thing is that He wants to take each one of us to his kingdom. If you are tired of all the problems and sufferings of this world, I suggest you give your permission to Jesus in your life to reserve a place for you in his kingdom. I don't want to be here much longer, I hope you feel the same. God bless you.
